What is a ticket broker?
A ticket broker is a professional who sells tickets to
major events in the secondary market. This is different than a
primary source, such as a team or box office. It is our job to
locate and secure tickets for you which may not otherwise be available
at the time you are making your purchase.
Concerts,
sports, and
theatre events are the most common types of events most ticket brokers
deal in. |
|
Why buy from a ticket broker?
Clients come to ticket brokers for seats they could
not otherwise obtain. Sometimes this could mean any ticket for an
event which is sold out through the box office. Other times this
means premium seats, or specific seats which are unavailable through the
box office. Purchasing from a ticket broker allows you more
opportunity to be selective about the seats you purchase. Many of
our clients are busy professionals themselves who simply don't have the
time to deal with the purchasing process when they go on sale, so they
allow us to handle that for them. Many events are close to
impossible for the average patron to secure the seats they want without
the help of a broker. For instance, many sporting events are sold
out, or nearly sold out, before any public onsale ever occurs.
Most ticket brokers are professionals and are very good at what they do.
While you are very good at your profession, and may have intimate
knowledge of how to perform your job that outsiders may not even
understand, we are very good at our job. We know how to obtain the
seats, have the necessary connections to obtain the seats, and generally
have knowledge of what the best seats are that would meet your needs.
It's what we do. |

How are tickets priced?
Ticket brokers do not generally deal in "face value",
as a box office would. Rather, ticker brokers deal in "market
value". Market values are ultimately determined by the purchasing
public and what they are willing to spend. In most cases, market
value will be above face value, particularly once an event is sold out,
or for the most sought after seats. In some cases, market value
can also be less than face value, particularly when supply exceeds
demand.
As with most markets, the secondary ticketing market is a "supply &
demand" market. For an extremely popular event, like the
Super
Bowl, there is far more demand than there is supply, so the tickets
become very valuable, and sellers demand top dollar. Likewise, a
broker who has to buy these seats from a seller must price the tickets
appropriately. Remember, a ticket broker is "brokering" a deal,
and is not necessarily the owner of the tickets. If sellers are
demanding $1000 per ticket, a broker cannot sell to the public at face
value. |

What is your refund policy:
Because tickets are one of a kind items, are time
sensitive, and are often purchased specifically to fill your order,
tickets are not refundable. All of our sales are absolutely final,
and cannot be refunded, unless an event is cancelled. It is very
important that you are sure of the seats you are buying, before you buy
them.
If an event is cancelled, you may be required to return your tickets to
us within 7 days. To qualify for a cancelled event, the entire
event must be cancelled. Performer changes do not constitute a
cancelled event (i.e. if Performer X cancels from the Ozzfest Tour, but
the tour performs the show, it is not a cancelled event). A playoff game
which becomes unnecessary does constitute a cancelled event.
Buyers accept responsibility for postponed events. If you purchase
tickets to a concert or ballgame, and that event is postponed, your
tickets will, in nearly all cases, be valid for the new date, and will
not qualify for a refund.
These policies result from industry standards.
Because our suppliers employ these policies, we must also employ them in
turn. We discourage impulse buying. We are a
professional agency who aims to satisfy. Please be absolutely
certain of what you are buying and for when. |
|
What if
I lose my tickets?
In all but very rare cases, we can not replace
lost tickets. Because we are not an original box office, we simply
do not have the ability to void/reissue tickets.
It is essential that you treat your tickets with absolute
security. |
|
Is it
legal to buy and sell tickets above face value?
TicketsFromTheWeb.com is a
New Hampshire Ticket Agency.
Therefore, we operate under New Hampshire laws. In the state of
New Hampshire, we do not have any laws regarding the resale of tickets.
It is widely accepted that an internet or telephone sale is bound by the
laws of the seller, as that is where the funds are received and the
merchandise is shipped from. However, we are not experts in the
laws of every municipality. If you have questions of concerns over
laws governing your area, we recommend you contact your local
authorities. |
|
Why do I see the same tickets listed on so many different websites?
Our website utilizes an inventory feed consisting of
the inventory of hundreds of sellers nationwide, as well as our own
inventory, to enable us to offer you the best possible selection.
This inventory feed powers our site, as well as the websites of hundreds
of other brokers. The difference between ticket brokers is often
price, service, and knowledge. Be sure to see our price comparison
page for more details. |
|
How do I know my tickets are authentic?
TicketsFromTheWeb.com works only with the most
reputable possible sources. All of our suppliers are industry
professionals who's reputations are on the line with each sale.
The "host" of our inventory feed has a vested interest in the security
and reliability of the content it provides. Each seller is
screened and references are checked before they are allowed membership
into our network. TicketsFromTheWeb.com is a member of the Better
Business Bureau and other reputable business organizations. We
unconditionally
guarantee the authenticity of every
ticket we sell. You can buy with absolute confidence. |
|
Can I check
your references?
Absolutely! As a matter of fact, we encourage
it. TicketsFromTheWeb.com is a proud member of the Better Business
Bureau, 2 Chambers of Commerce, and several other civic organizations.
We have posted some references for you on our
testimonials page, including links to
confirm our affiliations. |
|
How will I
receive my tickets?
In most cases, your tickets will be delivered by
FedEx, and require a signature. It is essential that you provide
us with a physical address, we can not ship to PO boxes, as FedEx can
not deliver to them. For more detailed information on our shipping
policies, please see our
Shipping Policies page |
|
What is your
Privacy Policy?
Our privacy policy is simple. We have a policy
of privacy. We don't share your information with anyone not
directly connected with the sale. Those "directly connected with
the sale" include suppliers (who will be shipping your tickets) and
banking institutions (to process your payment). That's it.
We do not routinely market by email. We hate spam too! Our
email marketing is very limited. |
